Centre for Development, Planning and Policy (CDPP)

The Centre seeks to concentrate on the social and economic dimensions of development. It aims at developing both theoretical and applied research on all aspects of development. Research into issues of regional economic development, particularly of the state of Uttar Pradesh and the adjoining states, and enhancing our capacity and knowledge of the region for informed policy advice and initiatives forms an important component of the agenda. The Centre also seeks to provide critical and enabling perspectives on national economic development in the context of globalization and current restructuring of the Indian economy. To this end, the Centre seeks to augment its technical resources through continuous collaboration with economists and policy makers in other national and international institutions.
