The Centre aims to focus on the fact that income-poverty of people in an economy is not the only handicap that they face. The Centre recognizes that some of the most critical opportunities and choices for people are to live a long and healthy life, to be literate and educated; and to have access to resources needed not only for a decent standard of living but also to effect a sound local entrepreneurship. Keeping in mind these critical aspects, the Centre is being developed that aims at competence building among individuals, participatory development that ensures social harmony, democratization at the grass root level, occupational inability and structural changes.
